A technical committee which was set up in December last year to look into the possibilities of cultivating cannabis for medicinal purposes, has submitted its report to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The report is said to contain a series of recommendations on the future exploitation of cannabis for medicinal use.

It has been written by Professor Theeshan Bahorun, who also chairs the technical committee.

The report will be presented to the cabinet after having been reviewed by the Ministry of Health.
