The Chairman of the Medical Council passes away

The Medical Council has lost its chairman, Shyam Purmesssur – he passed away after a long illness on October 31, Defi Media reported.

Dr Purmessur was also the superintendent of Victoria Hospital in Candos.

A well-known General practitioner, he was elected as Chairman of the Medical Council in July 2019, after the resignation of Dr Kailash Jagutpal.
