Taylor Smith acquires Lafarge Maurice and Lafarge Holcim Indian Ocean

The Taylor Smith Group which is engaged in logistics, underwater works, ships repairs, manufacturing and supplies businesses, has acquired the Mauritius-based cement supplying facilities of Lafarge Maurice and LafargeHolcim Indian Ocean.

The Taylor Smith Group incorporated a new company under the name of Cementis Investment to take over the operations of the cement trade in Mauritius, Madagascar, Reunion Island, Mayotte and the Comoros Islands.

Cementis Investment’s Chief Executive is Mr Chris Harker and Chief Operating Officer, is Mrs. Heba Capdevilla, both said to have solid experiences in the cement industry.

According to Colin Taylor, CEO at Taylor Smith, the company will maintain all jobs as well as ensure a smooth management transition.
