The sector that pays the highest salary is…

The most-highly remunerated sector in the job market is that of the Financial Services, according to latest figures just released by Statistics Mauritius.

Between March 2020 and March 2021, the average salary increased in various sectors, including manufacturing, the export sector, health, commerce, the financial sector and even real estate.

The highest increase in the average wage was noted in the insurance sector, which rose from Rs 44,474 to Rs 48,377.

However, during the same period, there was a decline in the average salary in other activities: transport, professional activities and administration.
