Mauritius Global Diaspora protests against Mauritian Government in London

The Mauritius Global Diaspora held a demonstration in front of the British Parliament on Saturday, October 2.

Armed with signs and the national flag, they protested against the government of Pravind Jugnauth.

The placards read “We love our country. We don’t trust the Mauritian Government” or “we are sliding towards dictatorship”.

The “non-respect” of parliamentary democracy, the “non-functioning” of the country’s institutions, corruption as well as discrimination against people with disabilities or vitiligo were the main themes of the demo.
