Jacques Chasteau de Balyon, ex-Minister, Ambassador to France, is no more

Jacques Chasteau de Balyon, former Minister and Mauritius Ambassador to Paris has passed away at the age of 70, l’Express has reported.

He was elected as the Labour Party candidate in the 1995 general elections and was subsequently appointed as Minister of Tourism until 2000.

In 2005, Jacques Chasteau de Balyon was appointed Ambassador of Mauritius to Paris until 2014.
