The move is part of the Indian Navy’s Security and Growth for All in the Region (SAGAR) programme announced for enhanced maritime security of the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

Next year, the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will commission a new Dornier aircraft, which has been financed through a Line of Credit (LOC).
