Discussions to get private clinics to treat COVID-19

The Government has drafted a set of specifications to allow private healthcare providers to treat COVID-19 patients.

Individuals tested positive for coronavirus will be able to choose between public health services or services offered by private hospitals or clinics.

The government is expecting the support of the private health institutions as borders reopen.

However, private clinics are said to be reluctant to the proposal as only very few health insurance providers cover costs related to COVID-19.

So far, only Wellkin Hospital has reportedly accepted such patients.
