Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth has inaugurated Odysseo, the largest oceanarium in the Indian Ocean, at Les Salines in Port-Louis.

For Pravind Jugnauth, this project will help improve the country’s tourist offering. He added that with the construction of the cruise terminal at a cost of Rs 770 million, 45,000 cruise passengers are expected as from 2022/2023.

Cédric de Spéville, CEO of the Eclosia group (promoter of the project) said that Odysseo is a very complex project.

Spanning over 5,500 m2, Odysseo contains 45 tanks that hold a total of 2 million litres of water, and are home to 3,500 aquatic animals.
