Ukraine plans to conclude visa-free regime with Mauritius

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an order on the signing of an agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Mauritius on mutual abolition of visa requirements, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

This is the first step towards the introduction of a visa-free regime, after which Ukraine and Mauritius must sign an agreement and carry out a number of internal procedures.

For reference: currently there is a visa regime between Ukraine and Mauritius (except for visa-free tourist trips for citizens of Ukraine).

The draft agreement reportedly provides for the introduction of a visa-free regime for mutual travel of citizens of Ukraine and Mauritius for up to 90 days within 180 days.

The conclusion of visa-free travel will help intensify interpersonal contacts and further develop partnerships between the two countries.
