Mauritius Ambassador to Mozambique dies of COVID-19

Mauritius Ambassador to Mozambique Jean-Pierre Jhumun has died at the age of 61.

Originally from Mahebourg, Ambassador Jhumun died in the UK after being tested positive for COVID-19, l’Express reported.

Jean-Pierre Jhumun was educated in London and was an accountant by profession. He was appointed Ambassador of Mauritius to Mozambique in 2015 and was based in Maputo.

He had been accredited to Tanzania, Malawi, Senegal, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola.
