Strong anticyclone heading our way

A strong anticyclone is approaching from the South-West. It will gradually strengthen the wind and will cause a relatively cold weather over our region as from tomorrow, the Met has warned.

The minimum temperature will vary between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius over the central plateau and between 18 and 21 degrees along the coastal regions.

Wind will blow from the East-South-East at about 25 km/h with gusts of 50 km/h in exposed areas. The wind will gradually strengthen tonight and gusts may reach 60 km/h.

“Sea rough beyond the reefs with South-Westerly swells of the order of 2 metres 50. Ventures in the open seas are not advised,” it said.
