Low-interest loans of up to Rs1million for small businesses

A Special Desk is being set up by the Economic Development Board, in collaboration with the Development Bank of Mauritius Ltd and the Guichet Unique of the Ministry of Finance.

The desk will provide support to economic operators currently not operating due to sanitary restrictions in the following sectors:

Fitness Centre (Gymnasium/ Sports Complex); Food Court, Bar and Restaurant; Cinema, Casinos and Night Club; Salle De Reception and Multi- Purpose Hall; Market Fair and Beach Hawkers.

The operators in these sectors will be eligible to Rs100,000 Interest-free Loan to address cashflow issues; and/or a COVID-19 Special Support Scheme for a loan of up to Rs1 million at an interest rate of 0.5% and one year moratorium.
