Foreign Exchange Dealers and Money Changers, including those of Western Union, have been authorized to resume their activities as from this Friday, l’Express announced.

The decision follows a meeting with the Bank of Mauritius during which the latter validated an operating protocol to which Foreign Exchange Dealers and Money Changers must adhere to ensure compliance with sanitary measures.

Shibani Finance, which represents Western Union, said its eleven outlets (closed since May 2, 2021 on claims of failing to enforce sanitary protocols), will now “welcome clients on appointment only.”
