HRs urged to ensure safety – it’s a legal obligation

With the easing of lockdown measures scheduled as from March 31, employers in the banking medical, construction and transport sectors, among others, must prepare for a safe return to the workplace, Defi reported, citing AreffSalauroo, President of the Association of Human Resource Professionals of Mauritius (MAHRP).

“While remote working will continue for many: wherever possible, preparation for a safe return to the workplace should be considered by all employers in sectors where operations will soon resume,”Salauroo said. “HR professionals in these sectors are well aware that they have a legal obligation to ensure the health and safety of employees, customers and visitors.”
